'How to Get Wind Power From a Tin of Baked Beans' is a project that educates today's children about the needs of tomorrow. It combines teaching on sustainability, recycling and renewable energy in a kinaesthetic way. The project answers the following questions:
- Sustainability - How long can we carry on using the world's 3 main sources of energy (coal, oil and gas), and what can we do about it?
- Recycling - How can we re-use everyday materials in a real-life application to reduce our carbon footprint?
- Renewable energy - How can we make an affordable wind turbine that can be used to power a low-voltage appliance?
